INFORMATION COUNTER:
- Strong winds blew cargo ship which departed
from Port Klang and ended at Siloso Beach ytd.
- The old fact: 9 planets in the Solar System.
The new fact: 10 planets in the Solar System.
The 10th planet found is named 2003UB313.
It is 14.5 billion km away from the Sun, and is
1.5 times the size of Pluto. It orbits the Sun
once every 560 years. Now, it is furtherst away
from the Sun. And in about 280 years, it'll be
as close as Neptune.
- The movie: "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory"
uses real chocolate for their waterfall. They tried
umpteen times to get the right composition of chocolate mixture.
- The MOSquito factor:
... the female mosquito sucks blood to
nourish its eggs and thus warm blood
appeals to it as much as nice warm meals
appeal to people. Warmer bodies,
therefore, are hot targets.
... MOSquitoes are attracted to the smell
of human bodies. However, no study has
pinpointed the specific scents they go for.
... The human body also emits carbon dioxide,
which is used by the mosquito as a homing
beacon to the victim's location. So, unless
people stop breathing, they are constantly
giving out signals of their location and making
themselves vulnerable.
... Dark-coloured clothing captures heat
and makes the wearer more vulnerable
to attacks.
that's all folks.
